Crossroads now has an App!

The Crossroads App is a great tool that is incredibly valuable to our ministries & church community. It includes handy features such as a directory, messaging for various groups & ministries, event registrations, resource sharing, a church calendar, and more!

If you call Crossroads home, we recommend you download the app to further enhance your ability to connect with what’s happening around the place.

Crossroads Directory Privacy Statement

The Directory is a private place for the people at Crossroads to share their contact information with one another. Only people who have been invited to the Directory will be able to see the Directory or share their information. When invited, each person can choose for themselves--or their household--the information they want to be shown. By accepting the invitation to share your information you are agreeing that Crossroads has your permission to share your information to other people listed in the Directory.  You can change your mind at anytime and either increase/decrease the amount of information you want to share or remove yourself from the Directory completely.


FAQ

I can’t see the Directory.

When launching the app we sent out a church-wide email inviting people to join the Directory. If you did not receive that email but would like to join the Directory, just send us an email to info@crossroads.co.nz & we will send you an invite.

My date of birth is incorrect in my profile, how do I change it?

You may have tried to change your date of birth in your profile & found you can’t. Your date of birth can only be changed by a staff member. This is to prevent things like younger family members changing their date of birth to make them older, allowing them to access the app younger than recommended. To change your date of birth, please send the correction needed to be made to info@crossroads.co.nz

Apologies if yours is incorrect. Many profiles were assigned estimated dates of birth before we had an app to indicate a person’s age bracket.

What if my spouse & I share an email address?

Church Center should recognise that there is more than one person assigned to the same email address, so when you download the app it will ask you to select which of the people connected to that email you are, or will allow you to make a new profile even though that email is also used by someone else.

You may however have trouble connecting to the Directory as only one email invite is sent per email address. If that is the case, please get in contact with us at info@crossroads.co.nz & we’ll send you another Directory email invite.

We’ve had a new addition to our family. How do I add them to our household?

Outside of event registrations, only a staff member can add a new profile to a household. If you would like to add a new family member, contact us at info@crossroads.co.nz with their name & date of birth & we will add them in for you.

Anytime you register for an event at Crossroads you are able to register new people who might be attending with you. When entering their details there is an option to add them to your household. Only add them to your household if they live with you.

How old do you have to be to use the app?

The minimum age to use the app is 13. That is why it is important for us to know the correct date of birth for you & your household members. Contact us at info@crossroads.co.nz if a date of birth is incorrect in your household.

My son or daughter is still living at home but no longer appears in my household.

Soon after an individual turns 18 they are no longer classed as a child, but rather an adult in the Crossroads App. They will then be assigned their own household. This means they now have full control over their profile which can’t be edited by any other household members.

My contact information is coming up in my Groups but not in the Directory.

To make your details available in the Directory please watch video Part 2.

In the Groups tab, you are able to make your contact details visible to other members of that group. To do this open up a group that you are a part of, select members from the bar at the top, your name should appear at the top of the list and allow you to edit visible info.
